Web Development - Week 6

This week was basically focused on getting our Assignments done. We all thought it was due this week, i was mostly stressing out over it because i couldn't get my results page working until i got it all figured it out during class, Also my design was pretty crap and really was up to standards and i didn't want to hand what i made in. Luckily we got an extension till Sept 15th, which will allow me to work on my layout and also create an enter page where you submit your name which will be displayed on the results page along with your result.

Web Development - Week 5

This week we did a lot more advanced HP work. We were focusing around Sessions and creating a simple quiz which would help us out while creating our quiz for assignment 1. Throughout the hand out there was some refreshers from the previous weeks which helped out. I knew a bit about how sessions worked from the previous year, but this week really jogged my memory on php bring back a lot of information that i learned previously.

I also began working on Assignment 1 coding between weeks 5 and 6. I had quiet a few problems with the results page and also setting up the CSS for my work. It took me the whole week basically to edge out most of the problems found in my work.

Web Development - Week 4

In week 4 we began researching our quiz for assignment 1, and also creating the pages and a simple layout for our the assignment. I chose to do a quiz which was centered around the NBA. I began researching questions, but since i knew a fair amount of info on the subject it didn't take me that long to get everything done. I also had all 12 questions setup into a web document which was quiet simple to do.

Web Development - Week 3

Week 3 of Web Development contained a lot of basic php that we learned in the previous week. Yet again we were echoing back statements that we typed into the input boxes. We didn't do much work around any other php besides using echo's to relay statements onto a new page. Was another god refresher but it was basically a much more simpler version of the previous week.

Web Development - Week 2

Week 2 being basically my first class was great, it was a real refresher and a good introduction to php again. I did a bit of php last year for Adv Diploma of Multimedia and this class really helped me bring back a lot of the information that i had sort of forgotten. During this week we were looking at echoing variables on to a blank web pg. Also did some very simple drop down boxes and input boxes. It was mostly a basic introduction to php

Web Development - Week 1

First week of web development i can't really comment about, there was a few issues regarding timetable clashes and i wasn't able to attend the class.

Review of other towns

Out of the other two cities/towns i reckon that the flinders street town was much more advanced and developed in there storyline. The other group (space shuttle) was much more confusing and harder to get there secret in the end we had to be told what the secret was.

Staduim almost done

The stadium is coming along nicely. The locker rooms and toilets are done. The actual field and goal post are done. We have a scoreboard up and flags and sponsors. i believe only a few chairs need to be done

T-Shirts

This is the custom T-Shirt i created. It is an exact replica of the Man Utd shirt which they play with at home games. It was hard to find a full 360 view of the shirt of eventually i found one and the shirt came out resembling the Man Utd guernsey

Toilets

Today got the toilets done. Personally i think they came out good and look 1930's which is what we are aiming for. I reckon they look a lot like the image i found of 1930's toilets, which was inspiration for the work.

Storyline

The construction site was built over a 1930's village. The village was a burial ground for the village. The construction of the building was poorly made, and the ghost's of the stadium begin to haunt the stadium, to warn the people about the unsafe construction. People killed from the village to make room for the building were also buried inside the stadium, they begin to haunt it to. But they begin to exact revenge of people who killed them.

1930's Story

Back in the 1930’s the ACG was surrounded in a controversy which leaded to a war. The war began from the 3 major sport codes in Australia not wanting to share the famous ground with each other. AFL being the strongest of all codes began dominating the war and manipulating the battle, they began making Cricket and NRL fight each other in a bid to gather all the power of the sports world.

As the AFL began gaining power, the NRL and Cricket Board settled there differences with each other and began working together to take down the AFL as the only means to finally win the battle. The battle between the super codes ranged on for months on end. As the AFL was still dominating over both codes, there Chief Executive took a turn for the worst, and began killing off all the great players for each code.

The NRL and Cricket Board began fearing the out come of this heinous act and had no alternative but to go to the Australian Mafia. The job which was required was to assassinate the Chief Executive of the AFL to stop the evil regime which he had begun.

The NRL had an inside man who was one of the, CEO’s close friends. The job was to find out when the CEO will be alone so that the assassination could b done so much easier. The rise of the Cricket Board and NRL was beginning to fill a swift change in momentum. The mafia was getting closer and closer to completing there mission. The inside man was in a 1 on 1 meeting with the AFL CEO at the ACG. The man was able to gain another 1 on 1 meeting with the CEO at the ACG. The NRL and Cricket Board found out the meeting and informed the mafia of the perfect time to attack.

The meeting happened a week later, it was late at night and no one was at the great ground. The meeting between the spy and the CEO was half way through, there was a knock on the door and as the CEO answered the door, a loud BANG! Echoed through the stadium. The CEO was dead. The mafia took the body and buried/hid it some where in the stadium remained like that. The 3 Sport codes began working together to build a better future, and the friendship between each code was stronger then ever.

To this day the body of the CEO has never been found, and then three Sports Codes still have a great friendship with each other.

Flying bed

This is my flying bed. I took the script from a flying carpet and placed it on the bed which made it fly.

Bed gun and ammo

This is my bed gun (first image), It is in the form as a rocket launcher and shoots beds out. Pretty cool and makes a pretty bad mess, also takes out people like nothing lol.

Worlds: Physical, Social, Personal

The dominant species will be human, they cannot change forms, life expectency is 100, and everyone is midget size. People in our town will be limited to walking only. There will be no caging and no one can die.

There will be a 4 hour day in our world. One hour will be night and the other 3 hours will be daytime.
Everyone will travel by segway (motorized scooter)
The terrain will be flat and the grass will be green and watered.
The worlds dominate colour pallete will be of the sunset, the background noises will be of crowds chanting, booing and clapping.

There will be an air compressor and helium machine to pump up balloons. Also facepainters will paint the team colours on peoples faces.
Only players can step on the field and the boundary then people can move is the stadium and carpark.
People can communicate with text messages and gestures.
The community will be of a cult and the cult will have no beliefs.

The inhabitiaters play sports and and socialize with each other.

Casual and Sport Shirts, no school shoes.

Building in second life

The building i designed was a window just a massive window with every part of it rotating, i felt it came out good but i think i needed to add texture.

This the house i attempted to make instead i modified the house so it is easily accessible to cross the lake to the other side of the island, also to be able to enter the house on the other side of the island.

ME vs SECOND LIFE ME

The real life me compared to the second life me are completely different, for one the second life me likes to piss people off compared to the real life me and the appearance of the second life me is completely different again, where the second life character is tanked up.

Week 3

Today's class i really enjoyed because i got to tour second life alot more and find out alot more things you can do about, also finding a lot of new islands which i really liked. The stadium idea for second life seems to be really good and i would enjoy building.
